In creating Blu Health we are working to improve everyday mental health for as many people as possible.

In order to deliver on that vision, we are going to need to find some exceptional people to join our team.


As a new company and the brainchild of two people, we are currently short on money and people, and long on ideas and work to do - we both have to wear multiple hats and put in a lot of time to get this business off the ground.


As we look to expand the team, we have decided to take an unconventional approach - we are going to treat people with respect, trust them to do the job that we hire them to do, and build in a real work/life balance from the beginning.


We don’t just mean flexible working, the odd day working from home, and a free day off on your birthday - we mean that everyone will get a normal salary but will be expected to work a maximum of 3½ days per week.

In the 21st century we are part of an always-on global economy, so tieing our employees to a 9 to 5, Monday to Friday working week seems a little… old school.


Anyone who believes that office workers are solidly productive from 9am to 5:30pm and take a regular hour for lunch has obviously never worked in a real office! We believe that by trusting and empowering people to do the best work they can in a way that best suits them, we will get better productivity and create a happier workforce who want to stay with us for the long haul.


The vast majority of the work that will need to be done in a modern business can be carried out armed with a laptop, a mobile phone, and an internet connection, so we don’t intend to lock ourselves away in expensive offices in expensive cities with expensive, time-consuming commutes to work - we want to enable people to work wherever and whenever works for them.


Our working model will be one of flexible working - working where you want and when you want, as long as you do your job well and get the work done on time.


Want to work from home? Great!

Need to fit that in between dropping the kids off at school and picking them up again? Do it!

Prefer to work in a shared office space? Let’s do that!


We are also considering some other options like unlimited annual leave, but for now we think that our goal of providing real work/life balance, a real salary, and real flexibility will help us to build a team of like-minded people who will help us to make Blu Health the success that we know it can be.


Will it cost us more to work this way? Possibly.

Could we make more profit if we took a conventional approach? Probably.

Are we going to do it anyway? We certainly hope so!


We believe that we can do things differently and still be a thriving, profitable business with the added benefit of a happy, highly engaged, and motivated team of people behind it.


More and more people are taking an active interest in their physical and mental wellbeing, and we want Blu Health to be there to help make mental health better for everyone.
